Pablo PICASSO. Autograph letter signed "Picasso", [Horta de Ebro] Thursday [August 5, 1909], to Guillaume APOLLINAIRE, 15 rue Gros, Paris-Passy; 2 pages in-8, envelope with stamp and postmark. "My dear friend I have just received your letter. I don't think I'll be here after September. I'm thinking of going to Madrid and Tolede in the first quarter. But if you can come here before then I'd be very happy. With 200 francs you won't have enough for your travels I think you'll need at least 300 and I think that's very fair. I'm very happy that Marie Laurencin faces beautiful exchanges. We've been here in Spain in the middle of the revolution, we've skinned nuns and killed monks, we've also killed some civil guards.
