Guillaume APOLLINAIRE Autograph manuscript of 3 poems for Calligrammes; 1 page in-4 (27 x 21 cm). The first three poems in the Lueurs des tirs section of Calligrammes. This sheet, paginated 79 in pencil at top right, written in black ink on the back of a letterhead from the Italian Government Hospital at Quai d'Orsay, was part of the manuscript used for the Calligrammes edition. It bears the title of the Lueurs des tirs section at the top, crossed out. In the margin, a copy preparer's pencil note to the typographer: "These poems are separate pieces. Titles in cap. of 10". La grâce exilée comprises 2 quatrains: "Va-t-en va-t-en mon arc en ciel Alle-vous-en couleurs charmantes Cet exil t'est essentiel La boucle retrouvée comprises 3 quatrains; we note a variant in the 10th verse ("ton souvenir" will be changed to "mon souvenir"). "Refus de la colombe" includes 2 quatrains, with a period in the last line: "Mensonge de l'Annonciade, La Noël fut la Passion [ ] Si la colombe poignardée Saigne encore de ses refus J'en plume les ailes l'idée Et le poème que tu fus."
