Draft with erasures and corrections relating to the genesis of La Chanson du mal-aimé. After two stanzas (quintains) heavily crossed out and corrected, which are not found in the poem: "Au clair d'ampoules électriques J'additionne à l'infini Sur mon bureau c'est la pyrrhique Des punaises sortant du nid Qui font leurs petites coliques. Apollinaire writes the first lines of the "Milky Way" stanza: "Milky Way o luminous sister Of the white streams of Chanaan And of the white bodies of the amorous Swimmers." In the margin, black ink drawing of a bearded woman with an orange pencil dress.
